In the twenty-first century, business operations are becoming more complex, and the demand for salaried managers and administrators is expected to increase faster than the average for all occupations. One of the most effective assets to be a part of this sought-after management group is an Associate of Applied Business degree in Business Management Technology from Kent State University's School of Technology.

An excellent core of studies features written and oral communication, management skills, accounting, marketing, economics, liberal arts courses, and more. The program offers technical options that allow you to specialize your studies. With a minimum of 7 to 11 credit hours from a particular field of study, you can choose in diverse areas including marketing/sales, entrepreneurship/small business, manufacturing management, and general business management. The associate's degree is granted after the successful completion of 64-68 semester hours of coursework. Most of the credits earned in the Associate of Applied Business degree in business management technology can be applied toward the School of Technology's 2+2 program for a Bachelor of Science degree in technology or industrial technology. Students interested in the 2+2 option should consult with an adviser. Many of the credits earned in the associate's degree can also be applied to the business management major in the College of Business Administration.
