Commencement is a time to celebrate your achievements and look forward to your future endeavors. Check this page carefully for all the information you need to be sure you’re ready for graduation.

Commencement 2009

 The Kent State Geauga Campus honors its graduating students once an academic year with a Spring Commencement.  Students graduating in the Summer, Fall, and Spring may participate in the annual event.  Twinsburg Center students also attend the Geauga Campus Ceremony.  Additionally, students who began their Kent State college years at the Geauga Campus and later transitioned to the Kent Campus may attend the Geauga Commencement by request. 

 The Commencement of 2009 will be held on Friday, May 15th.   The Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Geauga Campus site located at 14111 Claridon-Troy Road, Burton OH.  The formal event will begin at 6:30 p.m.  The keynote speaker is Dr. Paul Gaston, Trustee’s Professor.

Information regarding the event is mailed to graduation candidates in mid-March. View the 2009 Commencement Letter.  

Letter Highlights: Audience seating is offered using a ticket system.  Four tickets will be initially offered to graduation candidates with the possibility of more tickets offered based on the total number of attending graduates.

Commencement attendees are asked to RSVP using an on-line reservation system.  Student FLASHLINE user ID and password is required to log-in to the Commencement RSVP system.  The RSVP deadline is: May 1st, 2009.

The Kent State Bookstore will be present on the Geauga Campus (Burton) to sell commencement regalia (caps and gowns) on April 3rd from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Students unable to purchase their cap and gown on April 3rd may purchase their Caps and Gowns at the Kent Campus Bookstore in person or by fax and mail order.
