Student Senate functions as the authority within the student body.  It consists of four yearly-elected officers and five yearly-elected senators at-large.  Student Senate is responsible for implementation of ideas and decisions voiced by Geauga's pupils and serves as the official representative of the student body.

Student Senate sponsored events for 2003-04 included; "Welcome to Campus Cookouts" for new and returning students, new student recruitment event, cookouts to meet and greet, Dean chats (informal dialogue between students and Geauga's Dean), monthly entertainment, theme parties, fund raisers, and promotion of collegiality and university life.
