Message from the Office of the Associate Dean
Welcome to the Kent State University Geauga Campus website. As the Associate Dean of this regional campus, it is my privilege to be part of this outstanding academic institution. It is also a pleasure to be living and working in Geauga County with its year round rich history and traditions set in the beauty of these rolling hills and lakes.
Two of my three children are college graduates with my youngest primed to soon graduate from Kent State. I know the value of a good education when I see one.Kent State Geauga is your best bet both financially and academically.
We begin with our advising professionals who, in a timely fashion, will create the best class schedule for you while keeping the communication channel open as you progress through your program. Our support staff is also readily available to answer any administrative concerns to make seamless, your transition to this university experience.
Of course our faculty have decades of experience to share. You will be taught by full professors, experienced and award-winning adjuncts in their field of choice, or dedicated tenure track instructors who consistently receive high student praise for their in-class communication and personal student interest. With the opening of the new Regional Academic Center (RAC) at Twinsburg, your options now double. On both campuses we offer the completion of select bachelor degrees and the Master's Degree in Technology. You can complete an associate degree with the intent to transfer to the Kent Campus in Kent Ohio –a reasonable drive from either regional campus. We offer innovative programming such as the LPN to ADN weekend program. The Regional Academic Center is easily accessible at the junction of routes 480 and 91 being perfect for those who work and raise a family while squeezing the most from every minute of the day.
Kent State University at Geauga is heavily invested in the local community and economy. Networking with our business community helps to create internship opportunities and cooperative programming for community involvement. Our newest venture,'87 Vision, synthesizes our faculty talents with local business in areas of research in plant hybridization, water filtration, hydroponics, vertical growing, parkland development, solar energy, wind turbines and soil emulsification research.
