Future Middle Childhood Education majors

The Bachelor of Science in Education degree for Middle Childhood Education (MCED) can be completed entirely at the Geauga Campus.

After reviewing the requirements, please set up an appointment with Katie McGee, Academic Advisor for Education majors at the Geauga Campus.  She will start a file for you and also go over all the requirements for the Middle Childhood Education program. 

Current Middle Childhood Education majors

If you have not met with Katie McGee, Academic Advisor for Education majors at the Geauga Campus, please do so as soon as possible, so she can start a file for you and track your progress towards Advanced Study.

Future Education majors

Other Education Majors can be started at the Geauga Campus and then finished at the Kent Campus.  About 2-3 years of coursework can be completed before students would need to transition down to the Kent Campus. 

The courses listed below are requirements for all education students.  All four of these courses are offered through the Geauga Campus. 

CULT 29535: Education in a Democratic Society

EPSY 29525: Educational Psychology

SPED 23000: Introduction to Exceptionalities

ITEC 19525: Instructional Technology

If you are interested in an education major other than Middle Childhood, please refer to the College of Education's website to see the requirements for your major of interest.
