Arrival and the Kent State Regional Academic Center Rock the Park
Kent State University's Regional Academic Center
co-sponsor the first Rock the Park Concert of 2011 in the City of Twinsburg
Despite the earlier rain showers the evening of Friday, June 10, 2011, the crowds came out to Glen Chamberlin Park in Twinsburg, OH, to rock with the band Arrival: The Journey Tribute. As part of the annual City of Twinsburg's Rock the Park concert series, Kent State University's Regional Academic Center sponsored that evening's entertainment. This is the second year that the Regional Academic Center has been a co-sponsor of this exciting community event!
To accompany the music of Arrival, a light show wowed the audience which included footage of legendary Journey concerts. Thomas Holies, Director of Enrollment Management and Student Services of Kent State at Geauga and the Regional Academic Center, joined the band on stage to thank the crowd for supporting the community event. Mr. Holies encouraged the audience to not stop believing a college education is in their future. With the Regional Academic Center located right in the heart of Twinsburg, college courses can be completed locally! With beach balls, provided by the Regional Academic Center flying, the evening ended with a huge fireworks display as Arrival performed their rendition of "Don't Stop Belivin'."
