Commencement 2011

Commencement is a time to celebrate your achievements and look forward to your future endeavors.  Check this page carefully for all the information you need to be sure you're ready for graduation.

The Kent State Geauga Campus honors its graduating students twice an academic year with Spring and Summer Commencement Ceremonies.  Students graduating in the Fall may participate in the Spring Ceremony.  Twinsburg Regional Academic Center students also attend the Geauga Campus Ceremonies.  Additionally, students who began their Kent State college years at the Geauga Campus and later transitioned to the Kent Campus may attend the Geauga Commencement by request. 

 The August Commencement of 2011 will be held on Friday, August 5th and will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Commencement Ceremonies are held at the Geauga Campus site located at 14111 Claridon-Troy Road, Burton OH.  Information regarding the May ceremonies will be mailed to graduation candidates in March.  Students graduating in August will receive a Commencement Ceremony information letter in June. 

Important Information:  Audience seating is offered using a ticket system.  A predetermined amount of tickets will be initially offered to graduation candidates with the possibility of more tickets offered based on the total number of attending graduate and guest RSVPs.

Commencement attendees are asked to RSVP using an on-line reservation system.  Student FLASHLINE user ID and password is required to log-in to the Commencement RSVP system. 

The Kent State Bookstore is authorized to sell commencement regalia (caps and gowns) for the Kent State Geauga Commencement Ceremonies.  Students may purchase their cap and gown at the Campus Bookstore in person or by fax and mail order.

·         August 5, 2011:  BSN Pinning Ceremony (Burton) @ 2:30 p.m. in the Clark Commons,

·         August 5, 2011:  Commencement Ceremony (Burton) @ 6:30 p.m. in the Clark Commons.
