What is monthly certification?

Each month you must verify your enrollment and attendance in your program of study,  You can verify your attendance either over the phone (1-877-823-2378) or online through WAVE.  Students should be sure the VA has your enrollment information correct.  Contact the certifying official (Mr. David Chappell at Kent State University Geauga) if your enrollment information is not correct.

How do I insure I am paid correctly?

Be sure that you inform your certifying official of the following:

  • Report any courses that you take at another college either before or after becoming a student.
  • Provide a list of all classes for which you have registered.  Only the courses that apply to your program of study will be certified to the VA for payment.
  • Report any plans to change your major before you begin taking classes in that major.
  • Report any classes you add or drop as these changes may impact your benefits.
  • Report any schedule changes.
